After mapping oracle OIA 11g custom properties with OIM UDF attributes multiple times, it's almost second nature for me on the required tasked
After altering the oim-commons-context.xml file located in WEB-INF directory, then searching for the section "iamUserToUserCustomProperties", which is located near the top of the page I would then include the UDF columns for each of the custom properties
Your entry will look like this. The Oracle document states that OIM 9x needs to be uppercase. The OIM 11g however would also need to be uppercase. This has not been completely the case as the earlier versions of OIM and OIA required the UDF to be lowercase.
<util:map id="iamUserToUserCustomProperties">
<entry key="customProperty1" value="USR_UDF_DIRECTMANAGER"/>
<entry key="customProperty19" value="usr_udf_cust10"/>
</util:map>
When I installed a newer version of OIA and carried over the jar files from the newer version of OIM, the UDF mapping was then reverted back to lowercase
SOLUTION
Just be aware that OIM OIA 11g integration may require uppercase or lowercase depending on which 11g versions of OIA and OIM that you're using

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
