By default, OIA will only display a maximun 500 Records. I have commonly worked with a high number of identities within OIA. Because of this, I have often had to increase the total value of identities (globalusers) displayed within the OIA GUI. Here is how to increase this value.
Step 1: Altering idw-content.xml
You need to make changes to the WEB-INF/idw-content.xml directory
Make sure you have to correct WEB-INF/idw-content.xml. If you have exploded the .WAR file, then used WLS to deploy OIA as an application, WLS will create a new file. Tomcat app server for instance will use the existing directory so just be aware
The path to locate the idw-context.xml file:
{WEBLOGIC-HOME}/user_projects/domains/{ADMIN-SERVER}/servers/{MANAGED-SERVER}/stage//OIA11115/WEB-INF
On line 121 within the idw-content.xml file alter the integer values associated to the maxNumberOfObjectsForSearch property value. In this example I have changed the value from 500 to 2000.
<property name="maxNumberOfObjectsForSearch" value="500"/>
To...
<property name="maxNumberOfObjectsForSearch" value="2000"/>
Note: The higher the value, the more strain on performance and memory consumption you require.
Save and exit
Step 2: Clearing the cache (GUI)
It is essential to clear the cache for the new values to be associated. As this was done on RHEL, I have used firefox as my web browser. This can be achieved by going to Tools--> Clear Private Data
Step 3: Clearing the cache (directory)
I noticed that the cache isn't always (completely) cleared. The best way is to also remove them from the directory
cd ~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxxxxx.default/Cache
Delete the contents of the cache
Step 4: End Result
Restart the application server and log back in. When you do the query again, you should be able to see the total value of identities that reside within the OIA repository. If the total amount exceeds the defined maxNumberOfObjectsForSearch, then it will only see the total value.

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
