The 'need to know' about cryptography for the CISSP exam
Eclipse: Save could not be completed some characters cannot be mapped using "MacRoman"
I came across this issue when I tried to save my .java file in a newly-installed Eclipse.
The item "Solaris 10 64-bit" can't be copied because there isn't enough free space
I experiences this issue when I tried to move a backup VM file from my USB drive to my local drive though I was getting the error The item "Solaris 10 64-bit" can't be copied because there isn't enough free space
ORA-01400 - cannot insert NULL into ("SCHEMA"."TABLE_NAME"."COLUMN_NAME")
Whilst importing accounts into OIA via a flat file feed, you check the progress within the import/Export logs then you're presented with the ERROR exception level with the UTTER USELESS description of 'Unable to import accounts'
To determine the actual cause, you need to check navigate to the rbacx.logs. Within there, you may experience the following error message:
Caused by: org.springframework.dao.DataIntegrityViolationException: SqlMapClient operation; SQL []; ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("RBACXSERVICE"."ACCOUNTS"."NAME") ; nested exception is java.sql.SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("RBACXSERVICE"."ACCOUNTS"."NAME")
Solution
The issue is actually quite simple as the error isn't directly related to OIA but instead against the Oracle table (Accounts). Along with other items, the value 'NAME' is a mandatory fields whilst importing this into OIA. Double-check that all your accounts that you're importing in have this populated.

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
