I did some investigation and for whatever reason, I needed to upgrade from 9.1.0.1 to 9.1.0.2
Installing OIM 9.1.0.1 --> 9.1.0.2
Click here to download the same patch in this demonstration.
Incremental patches process over time so click here to view all the associated patches for OIM 10g.
I always forget, though make sure you export your JAVA path.
export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH
Upgrade to 9102
Once you've downloaded the patch, proceed with the following:
[oracle@localhost Scripts]$ pwd
/home/oracle/Desktop/oim9.1.0.2/p8484010_9102_Generic.zip_FILES/db/oracle/Scripts
[oracle@localhost Scripts]$ ./oim_db_upg_9101_to_9102.sh

.
Execute the 'LoadXML.sh file
Once you've completed the step above, begin by starting up the LoadXML.sh file with the JDBC path and Username/Password passing as arguments.
./LoadXML.sh jdbc:oracle:thin:@172.16.128.128:1521:orcl xelsysadm Password1
Confirming patch installation
I then made sure the patch I installed was also updated within the Database

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
