Here are the steps involved to install SOA on a 64 bit Oracle Linux environment for the Oracle identity management middleware software.
Pre-requisite: install JDK 1.6
As a prerequisite, you need to download and install a JDK on your environment. I would recommend using the JDK for all softwares involved. I would also recommend using the latest version of JDk1.6 though no higher as JDK 1.7+ is not certified with Weblogic 10.3.6.
Start SOA installation
As mentioned in the overall installation steps for OIM, you need to download the SOA 11.1.1.6.0 (V29672-01) from the Oracle Software delivery Cloud. Un-package the 2 files and place them into 1 single directory (Disk 1-5 all located in the same location).
After that, run the following in terminal:
.runInstaller
Within the prerequisites checks, you will notice that some of the packages cannot be located.
Checking for compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-69.el6-i686; Not found Failed
This is expected as they will fail on the 32bit checks. Make sure that the ones that are failing are only 32bit and not the 64 bit (x86_64) packages. Go ahead and click continue.

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
