HOW TO: Configure Outlook with office 365 on mac OSx

I have often used mac mail for my centralized location of e-mails though because my company has now migrated from google mail to office 365 within the cloud, I needed to transfer all my mail configuration settings to outlook in order for me to use the full functionality.

Windows

For windows, this is seamless and only requires you to enter your credentials in and office will automatically do the rest. For Apple Mac OSx, you will need to enter in the server settings manually

You need to click on the Outlook first, then click on the cog, then click Options.

Within account, Click on Settings for POP and IMAP access.... I new windows will pop up with the settings. These will be the settings that you can use within outlook. Now open outlook and click on the outlook at the top, then click preferences.

Click on accounts then enter in your information that was used in the popup. The username is hidden in this image though this will be the username you used to access your office 365 web console.

  • Incoming Server: outlook.office365.com
  • Port: 993
  • SSL: ticked

  • Outgoing Server: smtp.office365.com
  • Override default port: ticked
  • use SSL to connect: ticked
  • Port: 587

  • These connection settings seem to be by default and could probably be used for everyone, though it's always good to check.

Exit the settings window and click on the 2 envelopes to start receiving mail.

The WeMos D1 is a ESP8266 WiFi based board is an extension to the current out-of-the-box library that comes with the Arduino installation. Because of this, you need to import in the libraries as well as acknowledging the specific board. This process is highly confusion with a number of different individuals talking about a number of different ways to integrate.

HOW TO provision AD group membership from OpenIDM

    OpenIDMICFAD-connector

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
